Scoring rules and coverage
A standard PFRA needs at least 75 composite points and the minimum in each exercise: cardio 35, strength 2.5, core 2.5. A full assessment with at least 90 points and all exercise minimums is Excellent. Waist-to-height ratio has no separate minimum.
Enter the officially recorded height and waist in half-inch increments. The ratio is truncated to two decimals, not rounded. For example, 39.5 ÷ 72 becomes 0.54 and earns 15 points.
The medically authorized 2 km walk is pass/fail. Cardio is excluded from available points and a passing walk cannot earn Excellent. An official passing secondary BFA excludes body composition points; a failed BFA produces an unsatisfactory result. Do not select a BFA result unless one has actually been assessed.
Uses the standard age/sex charts. Automatic altitude corrections, AFSPECWAR/EOD charts and other medical exemptions are not included. At altitude, enter performance already corrected by your assessment administrator. Temporary medical exemptions may mean PFRA Hold, not an adjusted passing score.
Rules: AFMAN 36-2905, 24 March 2026, paragraphs 3.6–3.9 and 3.15.4.

Frequently asked questions
Can a high total still be a failing result?
Yes. Missing an exercise minimum means the assessment does not pass, even if the total reaches your goal. A personal target is separate from the official passing standard.
Does changing age or sex change the points?
Yes. The calculator selects the corresponding official table. Army combat scoring uses the same age-specific male/combat column for both sexes.
Where are my measurements and results saved?
Only in this browser when you choose Save. One snapshot per calculator is stored locally; restoring it recalculates the raw results with the recorded profile. We use Google Analytics to understand site visits. This site's analytics code does not send your entered measurements, scores or snapshots.
Is this an official military calculator?
No. PT Score Kit is independent and unaffiliated with the U.S. military. It applies published tables for planning; your assessment administrator and official service records determine the result of an actual test.
